Mt. Pulag via Ambangeg Trail Travel Blog

This happened last year September 2017, my friend asked me if i’m available on that date, i said YES, because i really want to go there and see the SEA of CLOUDS, this event was organized and planned by this page (Camp Some).

Mt. Pulag History

Mt. Pulag is one of the most famous mountains in the Philippines, standing proudly at 2926 masl. It has one of the richest biodiversity in the country, having vast forests full of pines, moss, and grass. It is a mountain worth climbing, both for its challenging trails and its natural beauty.

Trail Adventours offers the climb to the summit through the Ambangeg Trail. Camping* on the mountain is definitely a rewarding experience; you will constantly be surrounded by jaw-dropping views and embraced by the mountain’s cool air. (mainit na din sa tanghali) Mt. Pulag offers visitors the thrill, fun, and reward they deserve.

All partipants from nueva ecija will wait the van to come in Jollibee Cabanatuan, so i waited for a while there and take selfie with Jollibee.

After completion of all participants, nag groupie muna kami but sadly i don’t have copy of that pictures. We start travelling going to baguio and eat breakfast there for a minutes, then balik sa Van and travel ulit papuntang DENR para magregister, medyo mahaba yung pila, weekends kasi kaya madaming tao, so we wait muna for  a while.

So after Registration tinawag kami sa loob to watch a video about mt. pulag, and what are the Dos and Don’ts, after this balik na ulit sa van para pumunta sa Campsite, sobrang taas na nito, at ramdam na ramdam na talaga yung lamig, that time it’s raining so dagdag pa yun sa lamig, Kumain muna kami ng Lunch bago mag start mag tayo ng tent, Yung foods namin kasama na sa binayaran namin, sobrang bait ng mga kasama namin eh. I don’t have tent na dala kasi, i don’t money to buy my own and besides before ako pumunta dito i asked our organizer na pahiramin ako, para makatipid na din.

Pagkatapos kumain at magtayo ng tent natulog muna kami kasi sobrang pagod din, tapos maaga pa kaming mag treking kinabukasan 1am yung time ng pagalis namin, so dapat madaming energy.

After matulog at magpahinga it’s DINNER time, sobrang masarap magluto mga kasama namin nun, busog ako pero syempre medyo nahihiya pa ako, kasi baka maubos ko yung foods 🙂 , kunting shot ng alcohol (Gin) while socialization kasi di naman kami magkaka-kilala pa.

I want to take a shower pero di ko kaya, nag tooth brush nalang, di na din ako naligo (dugyot) nagpalit lang ako damit, tapos balik na ulit sa tent, sinubukan ko pong matulog pero i can’t, sobrang lamig, i doubled my jacket and all but still my it’s so cold but it helps, i slept but not stable.

The time has come!, we pack our things that we need for treking specially flashlight and jackets for colds, nag selfie muna ako bago kami umalis 🙂 Pag paakyat kasi di ka naman na makakapag picture kasi madilim at continue ang treking para mabilis makarating sa itaas at maabutan yung SUNRISE, may mga point naman na pwede magpahinga saglit.

start treking

After 4 Hours we reached the summit and wait for the full sunrise, we take selfies, videos and groupies. Sobrang ganda na view, no words can explain how beautiful it is, the sad part is walang SEA OF CLOUDS 🙁 pero ok lang better luck next time.

After few minutes mas gumanda pa yung view kasi fully awake yung sun, so below is my favorite pictures from the summit of mt. pulag, we take lot’s of photos bawal mag sayang ng oras, kasi pag tumaas pa ng todo yung araw di lamig mararamdaman mo kundi init na.

After taking photos bumaba na kami pabalik ng RANGER STATION tapos naglinis ng katawan yung iba naligo, pero ako di talaga kaya :p malamig kasi talaga, nagpalit nalang ako ng damit, then we eat our lunch after eating Tinaggal na namin pagkatayo ng tent and packed our things.

Pictures taken nung pababa na kami from summit.

After magligpit ng gamit, sumakay na kami sa VAN at bumalik sa DENR office para mag logout and get the certificate, we bought some SOUVENIR there to take home, we decided na wag ng pumunta sa BAGUIO City, kasi sobrang pagod na ang lahat, all we want that time is to rest and sleep 🙂
